December 2023 Update

Still six-months out and we are at 39 Brothers signed up. Not bad at all, considering there will still be a letter going out to all Klan Alpine Alumni. We'll write the letter and AU is going to take care of printing and mailing everything based on their alumni database. That may get us in touch with people who we haven't been able to reach yet via Facebook, e-mails, word of mouth, etc.

Also still hoping to see some of the guys that I know have been told about it sign up and make the trip. So keep bothering those guys until we get them to sign up - never under-estimate the power of peer pressure...

I spoke with the school this week to firm-up some plans regarding the Band Party. I got a price for open bar at the party for the guys who contribute here. The cost will come out of the $150 everyone will contribute and we'll get a wrist band for the night, so we're not paying at the cash bar like the common people. It is our party, after all.

The school hasn't put out their sign-up page for the weekend yet. There is one small change that I wanted to update everyone on - the school needs to keep track of everyone who attends the weekend events - likely for insurance reasons or something along those lines. That will require everyone to sign-up through the school for the weekend and pay a nominal fee - I believe $20. If you are already planning on signing up for a place to stay and the meals (it's probably going to be about the only game in town when it comes to food) - that sign-up fee is included in what you'd be paying, so nothing extra. If you weren't planning on staying on campus or eating any meals - you'll still have to sign up through the school and pay the $20.

One final note for now. A golf outing was discussed a bit. I'm not organizing one, but there is one through AU. based on the 2023 Reunion schedule, I think that takes place on Friday afternoon. If you're interested and will be in town - look for that registration when you sign up with AU. If someone wants to take the lead on organizaing a Klan golf outing, let me know and I can push your info out there so you can see who's interested.
