The website has been updated and a registration page for the 2026 Klan Alpine Band Party/Reunion is available at KlanAlpine.com.

Go to “Registration 2026” and fill out the form so we can start getting a headcount together. As people start signing up, I’ll add page like last time, that lists everyone who’s planning on going. No money yet – just starting to accumulate names and hopefully add to this mailing list.

When I spoke with AU about doing this again, I pitched a couple of ideas. One – make it a “Greek” reunion – not exclusively fraternities and sororities, but reach out to them and pitch it as something different. It looks like they are going with that, from the communications they’ve sent out – so there may be a shitload of people in town. The last time we did this in 2024, it was the largest AU Reunion weekend they’ve had in forever. The more the merrier, in my humble opinion! Second – I proposed a Saturday night bonfire. They liked that idea and talked about having it in the pavilion area on Main Street, across from Mike Kenyon park, as they figure people will be wandering back and forth between there and the bars. Not sure if they are definitely doing that yet – we’ll see.

As far as a band – last time everyone and their brother knew someone who knew someone who could have played the party for us. Well, Klan’s Dave Jerozal played a Klan Band Party a few years ago (OK, in 1988 or so). Dave’s current band is going to play the 2026 Band Party. The band is Punk 716 and I’ve seen them several times and they’ll be great. You can check them out on Facebook. Having a Klan Brother play this thing just feels right – though I guess it makes it less likely that we beat the band up afterward, in fine KA tradition. (Sorry - No guarantees on that, Dave.)

Not sure what the cost will be yet, as that will depend on headcount, etc. We’ll figure that all out later. Just sign up!

So get the word out, especially to anyone who didn’t make the last one. You never know when AU will realize what a bad idea this is…
